Located in beautiful Tofino British Columbia, ROAR accompanies Hotel Zed Tofino (its equally rebellious, but not quite as tasty cousin) just steps away from picturesque Chesterman Beach. At ROAR, we’re always looking to do things differently, not deliberately, it’s just who we are. We’re always striving to nurture a culinary environment of inclusion, comfort, warmth, innovation and satisfaction. When people come to ROAR, they might not be locals, but we’ll make them feel like they are.

About Tofino
Hotel Zed Tofino, on the traditional land of the Tla-o-qui-aht First Nation, is located in a natural paradise on the West Coast of Vancouver Island. Tofino is home to some of the most iconic beaches in the country, where you will be blown away by the surf and the sunsets. An outdoor haven, Tofino is the outdoor enthusiasts playground with almost limitless options for surfing, hiking, cycling and so much more.
What I love the most about this place is our culture and core values. We are truly a family here. When I am having a difficult day there are always people around me that make it better. We’re a big group of weirdos and it’s absolutely awesome. We all care for one another and are diligent about having each other’s backs. I’ve been in so many kitchens where the only time I’d be around the rest of the team was at work but at ROAR we all go surfing together, hiking together, fishing together. We love spending time with each other outside of the kitchen as much as we do inside of it. It is such a unique environment to be in!
